I heard a great quote today from a marketeer who was talking about developing relationships:  “Treat every person as if they’re one degree away from your next customer.”

Great advice.  Indeed, any person you talk to may well know someone who’s a great customer.  And if you treat them well, build some trust – then they may talk to that prospect about you.

And remember…  It’s not about delivering your sales pitch to everyone you meet.  It’s about developing relationships.

We all know that satisfying your customers is good, yeah.  Blah blah blah, have to keep them happy and all that.  What a pain.
