The end of a year can feel a bit limiting. After all, with so little time left, how could I possibly catch up on all the great things I had intended to get done?

Some things just aren’t going to happen.

I hope you’ve had a chance to take a bit of a break! This is important for bringing our best to our customers and organizations.

Returning from a great time in Hawai’i, I was pondering the balance of doing versus being

azyq0zd8zai-averie-woodardIt’s possible to lose your way in business.  Maybe the market doesn’t need you so much anymore.  Or processes that used to work well have been surpassed by the competition.

Perhaps you’ve lost your mojo and are just turning the crank.

It’s time to make a big decision.  You can follow the inevitable decline into irrelevance, or maybe just shut the company down because your heart isn’t in it.

Or you can reboot the business.
