Which employees are you putting the most effort into? If you’re like most leaders, you end up putting a great deal of time into fixing problems with your struggling employees. You might be hoping that you can bring them up to a level of performance that is at least average.

This is a good intention, of course. Everybody is worthy of your support and leadership.

Why should you step in if they don’t need your help? I’m glad you asked.

As I was putting together my business Christmas cards recently, I was pondering the importance of those who have supported my success this year!

Last week was a big intersection of many of my varied communities – family, ICF Colorado, Conscious Capitalism, church, and so on.  So it got me thinking …

Y’know, we’re human too.  We need support, especially when we’re supposed to be so cool and collected and have it all together!

Community is important for quite a few reasons:

  • Connecting with customers
  • Getting support
  • Generating ideas and being creative
  • Contributing to the larger world
